Whether you just have an appreciation for fine furniture, or are in the market for a high quality custom made piece, attending one of the upcoming furniture exhibits in New England can provide you with a great introduction to local furniture craftsmen.

The Creative Minds, Disciplined Hands: Selections from the New Hampshire Furniture Masters exhibit will be taking place August 3 through October 19 at the SAC Exhibition Gallery in Boston. Exhibiting artists will include Ted Blachly, Jon Brooks, John Cameron, Timothy Coleman, Garrett Hack, Sam Norris, Richard Oedel, Brian Reid, William Thomas, and A. Thomas Walsh.

The Society of Arts and Crafts (SAC) is the country’s oldest non-profit craft organization, established in 1897. This organization is dedicated to creating awareness, encouraging creation, and fostering education of fine craftsmanship, which essentially goes hand-in-hand with the New Hampshire Fine Furniture Masters mission. For this reason, SAC will be hosting this highly-anticipated exhibit.

The exhibit will be open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm and on Monday by appointment only, with a public artist reception on September 20, 2013.

To learn more about this exhibit, please contact  the Chairman of the Furniture Masters,  Richard Oedel.
