See new Directions in Craftmenship at the Center for Art in Wood

If you are passionate about wood craftsmanship and want some inspiration for your next project, you should consider checking out the allTURNatives: Form + Spirit 2013 exhibit at the Center for Art in Wood in Philadelphia. This one of a kind exhibit opened on August 2 and runs through October 12, and attending this exhibit will not only provide you with a great opportunity to learn new styles and woodworking techniques, but also honors the center’s 18th year of hosting the International Turning Exchange Residency program.

This unique exhibit features the pieces that the participants completed during the 2 month International Turning Exchange Residency program, and attendees will be able to see a variety of disciplines and experience levels at this event. If you’re not able to make the trip to Philadelphia to attend this exhibit, I highly recommend that you check it out online.

One of the things that I find the most impressive about this exhibit is that you can see how each participant has grown through this program as pieces will be displayed that were produced both before and during the program.
