Wood Furniture Won’t Hurt the Contemporary Feel You’re Looking For

For some of my clients, one of their biggest concerns surrounding wood furniture design is that they feel it won’t offer the modern look that they want to achieve. I feel pretty confident that I am able to change their minds quickly about this, especially when they have an opportunity to browse through my portfolio and see some of the more contemporary wood pieces that I’ve created.

If your personal taste is more modern and contemporary, there is no need to shy away from wood furniture as it can provide a nice compliment to any space. Also, the great thing about commissioning a piece of furniture is that I can create a truly unique piece that is catered to your individual needs and specifications, so you are getting exactly what you want!

I personally think that wood furniture goes especially well with a contemporary setting as certain woods used can help to promote ecologically responsible design. Wood has the ability to be crafted into fine, sleek-lined furniture that fits perfectly in rooms with a more airy, modern style. While the wood itself can offer a very contemporary look, other materials such as leather detailing can be added to create a very chic, yet understated, piece of furniture. Another way to add a modern twist to a more traditional piece of wood furniture is to use chrome plated legs, which can provide some extra shine to those warm wood tones. Wood can also be enhanced with a glossy finish, which will help to draw more attention to the wood’s organic patterning.
