About Furniture Master

Richard Oedel

As a furniture designer and maker for over 20 years, I also come from an engineering and business background. The development and construction of form has always fascinated me, while living in Salem Massachusetts for many years instilled in me an appreciation and respect for the custom wood furniture builders of the 17th and 18th centuries, who lived and worked only steps from my front door. Then splitting my time between Boston and Wolfeboro NH, I developed an international following.

Now full time in my studio and workshop in Wolfeboro NH, I’m crafting work that is unique and exciting, while mentoring the next generation of makers.
