Now’s Your Chance to Meet Some of Our Furniture Masters This Fall
Having the honor of serving as Chairman of the New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association, I often mention this unique organization on my design blog. Not only does this the New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association celebrate the craft of fine furniture making in the region, but it also hosts a number of exhibits throughout the year that could prove to be inspirational for anyone that is considering commissioning a piece of furniture.
As a New Hampshire Furniture Master, I genuinely enjoy the opportunity to meet with people that appreciate my work. I think all members of our organization feel the same way, which is why we particularly look forward to the annual Grand Gala and silent auction, which will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
By attending our annual Grand Gala, you will have the opportunity to meet the Furniture Masters and chat with them about their work. Since commissioning a piece of furniture is often a very personal experience, this event will really provide interested parties with a chance to really get to know the furniture craftsman and what techniques he or she uses when creating a piece.
There will be a public viewing from 12 pm to 3 pm on Sunday, October 12, and no admission fee will be charged during this time. The reception and silent auction will take place from 4 pm to 7 pm, and admission is $25 per person. To enjoy the buffet dinner (begins at 7 pm) and enjoy the reception and silent auction, tickets are $75 per person.
