There are several upcoming furniture exhibits that will be taking place in the New England area this summer, and the New Hampshire Institute of Art will be featuring work by the New Hampshire Furniture Masters from June 7 through June 29.

The event kicks off with the exhibition opening reception on Friday, June 7 from 5 – 7 pm at the Sharon Arts Exhibition Gallery. Another highlight is the Walkthrough with the Furniture Masters event on Sunday, June 16 at 3 pm. The topic of this event will be “New Hampshire Furniture Masters: Fine Furniture Old and New,” and a number of furniture artists will participate, including Richard Oedel, Chairman of New Hampshire Furniture Masters.

The New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association (NHFMA) was established in 1993 by several local furniture makers with the intention of raising the awareness of the fine furniture makers throughout New Hampshire. The organization leverages its collective knowledge of fine custom furniture and annually showcases its members’ work and creates excitement for the industry through exhibitions, gatherings, and an annual auction.
