Check Out “Furniture Masterworks,” The New Hampshire Furniture Masters’ 2013 Designbook

Each year the New Hampshire Furniture Masters publish a book which features some the latest furniture designs from the year, and the 2013 Designbook is now available for you to enjoy. The book is full of inspirational hand made studio furniture designed by the Furniture Masters, many of whom are local artists, and we wanted to highlight a few of these designs for your below:

Richard Oedel’s Wild Rose Console Table is featured in the book.

  • “Something About Yew” by Timothy Coleman: This cabinet made primarily of yew wood is simple in design, yet integrates delicate interwoven blossoms into the fret-sawn panels made of sycamore.
  • “Wild Rose Console Table” by Richard Oedel: Rosewood itself is a rare material, and Oedel purchased the table top from a New York barn that had been tucked away since the 1950s and gave it new life by introducing the perfect leg and support geometries to arrive at this new design.
  • “Portsmouth, New Hampshire Federal Bow-Front Dressing Table” by William Thomas: Over the past few years, Thomas has built a suite of bedroom furniture based on the Portsmouth Federal Period design, and this dressing table made of veneer from a native New Hampshire birch burl completes the set.

Please be sure to download the Furniture Masters 2013 Designbook, now available in an eBook format.
