If you’re looking for an ultra-unique piece of fine furniture, be sure to mark your calendar for the Sotheby’s New York auction that will be taking place on November 23. The pieces featured in this auction were hand selected by designer Marc Newson and Apple’s Senior VP of design, Jonathan Ive, and proceeds from the auction will benefit RED, which is a charity founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver that aims to prevent children from being born with HIV.

One of the most anticipated pieces to be auctioned off is an anodized aluminum desk, which is projected to be purchased for a minimum of $300,000.

The detailing put into this desk includes a surface pattern comprised of 185 individual pieces. While you can check out an image of this desk in the New York Times, the photo does not give one-of-a-kind piece of furniture justice.
